حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِابْنِ صَائِدٍ: " مَا تَرَى؟ " قَالَ: أَرَى عَرْشًا عَلَى الْمَاءِ - أَوْ قَالَ: عَلَى الْبَحْرِ - حَوْلَهُ حَيَّاتٌ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " ذَاكَ عَرْشُ إِبْلِيسَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) asked Ibn Sayyad, "O Ibn Sayyad, what do you see?" He said, "I see a throne upon water, around which are snakes." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "That is the throne of Iblis."
