حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنْ عِشْتُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ، نَهَيْتُ أَنْ يُسَمَّى بَرَكَةُ، وَيَسَارٌ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: If I remain alive, then insha’Allah I will strictly forbid people from naming (their children) Barakah, Yasaar, and Nafi’.
