حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ الْمُقَدَّمُ، وَشَرُّهَا الْمُؤَخَّرُ، وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ الْمُؤَخَّرُ، وَشَرُّهَا الْمُقَدَّمُ، يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ إِذَا سَجَدَ الرِّجَالُ، فَاغْضُضْنَ أَبْصَارَكُنَّ، لَا تَرَيْنَ عَوْرَاتِ الرِّجَالِ مِنْ ضِيقِ الْأُزُرِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best row among the rows of men is the first row, and the least among them is the last row, whereas among the rows of women, the least is the first row and the best is the last row. Then he said: O group of women, when the men go into prostration, lower your gaze and do not look at the private parts of men through the openings of their lower garments.
