حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ " فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ لِأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ: الْمَكْتُوبَةَ؟ قَالَ: " الْمَكْتُوبَةُ، وَغَيْرُ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ " (٦)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) performed prayer wrapped in a single garment. Someone asked Abu Az-Zubair whether this referred to obligatory prayer. He replied that this includes both obligatory and non-obligatory prayers.
