حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، وَثِيَابٌ لَهُ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ - أَوِ الْمِشْجَبِ - " فَقَامَ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِثَوْبِهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى "، ثُمَّ قَالَ:، ، لَهُمْ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى هَكَذَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Asim bin Ubaidullah says that once I went to Syedna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). When the time for prayer came, he wrapped himself in a single garment and performed the prayer, even though other clothes were lying nearby on the bed. When he finished the prayer with salam, he said: I have also seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying in this manner.
