حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ، وَإِنِّي اشْتَرَطْتُ عَلَى رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَيُّ عَبْدٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ سَبَبْتُهُ، أَوْ شَتَمْتُهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ زَكَاةً، وَأَجْرًا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: I am also a human being, and I have made a covenant with my Lord that if any harsh words come from my mouth regarding a Muslim, it will be a means of purification for him.
