Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَزْعُمُ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الصُّوَرِ فِي الْبَيْتِ، وَنَهَى الرَّجُلَ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ ذَلِكَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade keeping and making pictures in the house.
