حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، (٥) أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " عَرْشُ إِبْلِيسَ عَلَى الْبَحْرِ، ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ سَرَايَاهُ، فَيَفْتِنُونَ النَّاسَ فَأَعْظَمُهُمْ عِنْدَهُ أَعْظَمُهُمْ فِتْنَةً " (٦)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Iblis places his throne upon the water, then he sends out his armies. The one among them who causes the greatest tribulation is the closest to him in rank.
