حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: حِينَ قَدِمَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ مُعْتَمِرًا فَجِئْنَاهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ، فَسَأَلَهُ الْقَوْمُ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرُوا لَهُ الْمُتْعَةَ، فَقَالَ: " نَعَمْ اسْتَمْتَعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ " رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Ata says that when Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) came for Umrah, we visited his house. People asked him various questions, then they asked about Mut'ah. He said: We used to practice Mut'ah with women during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and during the time of Abu Bakr and Umar, until later Umar forbade it.
