Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَنُصِيبُ مِنْ آنِيَةِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، وَأَسْقِيَتِهِمْ فَنَسْتَمْتِعُ بِهَا (٢) ، فَلَا يُعَابُ عَلَيْنَا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to find water skins and utensils among the wealth and spoils of the polytheists along with the Prophet (ﷺ), and we would benefit from them, but no one would reproach us for it.
