Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ إِبْلِيسَ قَدْ أَيِسَ أَنْ يَعْبُدَهُ الْمُصَلُّونَ، وَلَكِنْ فِي التَّحْرِيشِ بَيْنَهُمْ " (٢) ، حَدَّثَنَاهُ وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ مَعْنَاهُ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Satan has despaired of ever being worshipped again by those who pray, but he is eager to sow discord among them.
