حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَعَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتْعَتَيْنِ: الْحَجَّ وَالنِّسَاءَ "، وَقَدْ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ أَيْضًا: مُتْعَةَ الْحَجِّ، وَمُتْعَةَ النِّسَاءِ، " فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُمَرُ نَهَانَا عَنْهُمَا فَانْتَهَيْنَا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), there were two types of Mut‘ah: Mut‘ah of Hajj and Mut‘ah with women. Umar forbade us from both of them, so we refrained.
