حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ مُحَارِبُ بْنُ دِثَارٍ: أَخْبَرَنِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ: " إِنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَلَمَّا أَتَى الْمَدِينَةَ، أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَيُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey. Upon returning to Madinah Munawwarah, the Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: Go and offer two rak‘ahs in the mosque and then come back.
