Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Prophet (ﷺ) in a battle. I sought permission from the Prophet (ﷺ) to leave early and said: I have gotten married. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked: To a virgin or to a previously married woman? I replied: To a previously married woman. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with her and she could play with you? Then he said: Go and be close to your wife.
