حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَضْحَى بِالْمُصَلَّى، فَلَمَّا قَضَى خُطْبَتَهُ نَزَلَ مِنْ مِنْبَرِهِ، وَأَتَى بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ، وَقَالَ: " بِسْمِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، هَذَا عَنِّي، وَعَمَّنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I offered the Eid al-Adha prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ). After completing the prayer and sermon, a ram was brought. The Prophet (ﷺ) slaughtered it, saying: "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar," and said: "O Allah, this is from me and from all those in my ummah who cannot offer a sacrifice."
