حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْفَارُّ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ، كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ، وَالصَّابِرُ فِيهِ لَهُ أَجْرُ شَهِيدٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying about the plague: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battlefield, and the one who remains patient in it receives the reward of a martyr.
