Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تَرْتَدُوا الصَّمَّاءَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَلَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ، وَلَا يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَلَا يَحْتَبِ (١) فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: None of you should wrap his body in a single sheet, nor should he eat with his left hand, nor walk wearing only one shoe, nor sit with a single garment tied around himself.
