حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَطَاءٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَإِذَا فِيهِ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، قَالَ: " اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ، وَابْتَغُوا بِهِ اللهَ، مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ قَوْمٌ يُقِيمُونَهُ إِقَامَةَ الْقِدْحِ، يَتَعَجَّلُونَهُ، وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) entered the mosque and saw that some people were reciting the Noble Qur'an. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Recite the Noble Qur'an and seek Allah's grace through it before a people come who will use it as a means for their arrows, and they will act hastily and will not delay in it in any way.
