حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: إِنَّ أَوَّلَ خَبَرٍ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً كَانَ لَهَا تَابِعٌ، قَالَ: فَأَتَاهَا فِي صُورَةِ طَيْرٍ، فَوَقَعَ عَلَى جِذْعٍ لَهُمْ، قَالَ: فَقَالَتْ: أَلَا تَنْزِلُ فَنُخْبِرَكَ وَتُخْبِرَنَا؟ قَالَ: "، ، إِنَّهُ قَدْ خَرَجَ رَجُلٌ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْنَا الزِّنَا، وَمَنَعَ مِنَ الْفِرَارِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the very first news we received regarding the Prophet (ﷺ) was that a woman had a jinn under her control. Once, that jinn came to her in the form of a bird and sat on a branch of a tree. The woman said to him, "Why don't you come down so that you can tell us your news and we can tell you ours?" He replied, "A man has appeared in Makkah Mukarramah who has declared adultery unlawful for us and has forbidden us from staying in this manner."
