حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، وَعَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " تَمَتَّعْنَا مُتْعَتَيْنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، الْحَجَّ وَالنِّسَاءَ "، " فَنَهَانَا عُمَرُ عَنْهُمَا، فَانْتَهَيْنَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), there were two types of Mut'ah: Hajj Tamattu' and Mut'ah with women. Umar forbade us from both of them, so we refrained.
