حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، وَحُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَصَابَنَا عَطَشٌ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَجَهَشْنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ تَوْرٌ فِيهِ مَاءٌ، فَقَالَ: بِأَصَابِعِهِ هَكَذَا فِيهَا، وَقَالَ: " خُذُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ "، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ الْمَاءُ يَتَخَلَّلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِهِ كَأَنَّهَا عُيُونٌ، فَوَسِعَنَا، وَكَفَانَا " وَقَالَ حُصَيْنٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: فَشَرِبْنَا وَتَوَضَّأْنَا (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that at the occasion of Hudaybiyyah, we were afflicted by thirst. The Prophet (ﷺ) had only one bowl from which he was performing ablution. The people, distressed, came to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) placed his blessed hand in that bowl and said: "Take this water by reciting Bismillah." And water began to gush forth from between the fingers of the Prophet (ﷺ) like springs. All of us drank from it and performed ablution.
