حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ: صَلِّ بِنَا كَمَا رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي، قَالَ: فَصَلَّى بِنَا فِي مِلْحَفَةٍ شَدَّهَا (١) تَحْتَ الثَّنْدُوَتَيْنِ، وَقَالَ: " هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Abdullah bin Muhammad says: I said to Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "Lead us in prayer in the manner you heard the Prophet (ﷺ) pray." So he led us in prayer in a single garment, tying it under his chest, and said: "I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) pray in this manner."
