حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ جَابِرًا أخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُمْ غَزَوْا غَزْوَةً بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ، فَهَاجَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّهَا لِمَوْتِ مُنَافِقٍ "، فَرَجَعْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، فَوَجَدْنَا مُنَافِقًا عَظِيمَ النِّفَاقِ قَدْ مَاتَ (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the companions were participating in a jihad between Makkah and Madinah when suddenly a strong wind blew. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "This is a sign of the death of a hypocrite." So when we reached Madinah Munawwarah, we found out that indeed a great hypocrite had died.
