Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ جَابِرًا عَنِ الْجِنَازَةِ، قَالَ: " قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِجَنَازَةٍ مَرَّتْ، وَمَنْ مَعَهُ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu al-Zubair says that he asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the funeral: so he replied that a funeral passed by near the Prophet (ﷺ), so he and the companions stood up and remained standing until it disappeared from sight.
