Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ،، ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ، النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " غِلَظُ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْجَفَاءُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ، وَالْإِيمَانُ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْحِجَازِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Harshness of hearts and oppression are found among the people of the East, and faith and gentleness are among the people of Hijaz."
