حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَدَأَ بِالْحَجَرِ، فَرَمَلَ حَتَّى عَادَ إِلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) started the Tawaf from the corner of the Black Stone, walked briskly (raml) until he returned to the Black Stone. In these three circuits he performed raml, and in the remaining four circuits he walked at a normal pace.
