حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: صَنَعْنَا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَّارَةً، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا، فَوَضَعْتُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَاطَّلَعَ فِيهَا، فَقَالَ: " حَسِبْتُهُ لَحْمًا "، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَهْلِنَا، فَذَبَحُوا لَهُ شَاةً (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we prepared food for the Prophet (ﷺ) in an earthen pot. I brought that vessel and placed it before the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) looked into it and said: I thought there would be meat in it. I went and mentioned this to my family, and they slaughtered a goat for the Prophet (ﷺ).
