Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَحْلَاءَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَيَّانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ، فَقَدْ خَلَعَ رِبْقَةَ الْإِيمَانِ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever attributes himself to anyone other than his master, it is as if he has thrown off the rope of faith from his neck.
