حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: " غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ غَزْوَةً "، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: " لَمْ أَشْهَدْ بَدْرًا، وَلَا أُحُدًا، مَنَعَنِي أَبِي "، قَالَ: " فَلَمَّا قُتِلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، لَمْ أَتَخَلَّفْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةٍ قَطُّ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): I had the honor of participating in nineteen battles with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). However, I could not participate in the Battle of Badr and Uhud because my father forbade me, but after the martyrdom of my father in the Battle of Uhud, I never stayed behind from any battle.
