حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، (١) أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، عَنِ الضَّبُعِ، فَقُلْتُ: آكُلُهَا؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قُلْتُ: أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قُلْتُ: سَمِعْتَ ذَاكَ مِنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Abdur Rahman says that I asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the badger, whether I can eat it? He replied: Yes! I asked, is it considered game? He replied: Yes! I asked him, is this statement from the Prophet (ﷺ)? He replied: Yes.
