حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَخْبِرْنِي عَنِ الْعُمْرَةِ: أَوَاجِبَةٌ هِيَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا، وَأَنْ تَعْتَمِرَ خَيْرٌ (٣) لَكَ " (٤)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, is performing ‘Umrah obligatory?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "No, but it is better (to do so)."
