Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ، وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The food of one person is enough for two people, the food of two is enough for four, and the food of four is enough for eight people.
