Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيَأْخُذْهَا، فَلْيُمِطْ مَا بِهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى (٢) ، وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا، وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When a morsel of food falls from any of you, he should remove any harmful thing on it and eat it, and not leave it for Satan."
