حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، قَالَ: فَهَبَّتْ رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ، فَقَالَ: " هَذِهِ لِمَوْتِ مُنَافِقٍ "، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ إِذَا هُوَ قَدْ مَاتَ مُنَافِقٌ عَظِيمٌ مِنْ عُظَمَاءِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once they were on a journey when suddenly a strong wind began to blow. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "This is a sign of the death of a hypocrite." So when we returned to Madinah Munawwarah, it was found that indeed a great leader of the hypocrites had died.
