English translation
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for jihad towards Najd, and I was also with him on the return. On the way back, at noon, we reached a large valley full of thorny trees, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stopped there. Everyone went off to the shade of the trees here and there. The Prophet (ﷺ) rested under an acacia tree and hung his sword on the tree, and we all fell asleep. We had slept only a little when we woke up and saw that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was calling us, and a Bedouin was sitting with him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "While I was sleeping, this man drew my own sword against me. I woke up and saw that a naked sword was in his hand. He said: 'Now who will save you from me?' I said: 'Allah will save me.' Out of fear, the sword fell from his hand." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (ﷺ) did not take any revenge on him, even though he had done such a thing.
