حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: رَأَيْتُ كَأَنَّ، ، عُنُقِي ضُرِبَتْ، قَالَ: " لِمَ يُحَدِّثُ أَحَدُكُمْ بِلَعِبِ الشَّيْطَانِ؟ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "I felt as if my neck had been cut off." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Why do you mention the tricks of Satan—'which he plays with you'—in front of others?"
