Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When you hear the barking of dogs or the braying of donkeys at night, seek refuge with Allah, for these animals see things which you do not see. When the night falls, go out of your houses less, for at night Allah spreads many of His creatures as He wills. When closing the doors, mention the name of Allah, for the door upon which Allah's name is mentioned while closing, Satan cannot open it. Tie the mouths of the water skins, cover the pots, and turn the vessels upside down."
