Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ بِقَلِيلٍ - أَوْ بِشَهْرٍ -: " مَا مِنْ نَفْسٍ مَنْفُوسَةٍ - أَوْ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ الْيَوْمَ مَنْفُوسَةٍ - يَأْتِي عَلَيْهَا مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ، وَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ حَيَّةٌ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said a few days or a month before his passing: "Today, whoever is alive, a hundred years will not pass before he is no longer alive."
