Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: "، ، مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ، وَأُهْرِيقَ (١) دَمُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people asked the Prophet (ﷺ): "Which is the best jihad?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "That of the person whose horse's legs are cut and his own blood is shed."
