حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " مَنْ ذَا؟ " فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَنَا، أَنَا "، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ قَوْلَهُ: أَنَا (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I knocked on the door of the Prophet (ﷺ) and sought permission. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked: Who is it? I said: It is I. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It is I, it is I?" as if the Prophet (ﷺ) disliked it.
