Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى: قَالَ: قَالَ جَابِرٌ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَنْهَى أَنْ (١) يَقْعُدَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ، وَأَنْ يُجَصَّصَ، أَوْ أَنْ يُبْنَى عَلَيْهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I myself heard the Prophet (ﷺ) forbidding sitting on the grave, making it solid, and constructing a building over it.
