حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ: سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: " صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَتَقَدَّمَ رِجَالٌ فَنَحَرُوا، وَظَنُّوا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ نَحَرَ، فَأَمَرَ مَنْ كَانَ قَدْ نَحَرَ قَبْلَهُ أَنْ يُعِيدَ بِنَحْرٍ (٣) آخَرَ، وَلَا وَلَا يَنْحَرُوا حَتَّى، ، يَنْحَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) led us in prayer in Madinah on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah. Some people had already performed the sacrifice earlier, thinking that perhaps the Prophet (ﷺ) had already offered his sacrifice. When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to know of this, he ordered that whoever had performed the sacrifice earlier should offer another sacrifice, and that no one should perform the sacrifice before the Prophet (ﷺ) has done so.
