Translation
English translation
Once, the camel of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) sat down and exhausted him. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by and asked, "Jabir! What happened to you?" He mentioned the whole incident. The Prophet (ﷺ) got down and came to the camel and said, "Jabir! Mount it." He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! It cannot even stand." The Prophet (ﷺ) again said, "Mount it." So Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) mounted it. The Prophet (ﷺ) struck the camel with his foot, and the camel stood up with such a leap that if Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) had not clung to it, he would have fallen. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Jabir! Now go to your family. You will see that they have prepared such and such things for you," and even mentioned the bedding, and said, "One bedding is for the man, and one for the woman, one bedding is for the guest, and the fourth bedding is for Satan."
