Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: إنَّهُ لَمَّا أَقْبَلَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ مِنْكُمْ قُلُوبًا " قَالَ أَنَسٌ: وَهُمْ أَوَّلُ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْمُصَافَحَةِ (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: People have come to you from Yemen who are more tender-hearted than you, and they are the first people who brought the practice of handshaking with them.
