حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ،، ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يُطَوَّلُ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَيَقُولُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: انْطَلِقُوا بِنَا إِلَى آدَمَ أَبِي الْبَشَرِ، فَيَشْفَعُ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّنَا، فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَأْتُونَ آدَمَ، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا آدَمُ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللهُ بِيَدِهِ وَأَسْكَنَكَ جَنَّتَهُ، فَاشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ ائْتُوا نُوحًا رَأْسَ النَّبِيِّينَ فَيَأْتُونَهُ، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا نُوحُ، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ ائْتُوا إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلَ اللهِ فَيَأْتُونَهُ، فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ ائْتُوا مُوسَى الَّذِي اصْطَفَاهُ اللهُ بِرِسَالَاتِهِ وَبِكَلَامِهِ، قَالَ: فَيَأْتُونَهُ فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا مُوسَى اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ ائْتُوا عِيسَى رُوحَ اللهِ وَكَلِمَتَهُ، فَيَأْتُونَ عِيسَى فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا عِيسَى، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلْيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ ائْتُوا مُحَمَّدًا فَإِنَّهُ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ حَضَرَ الْيَوْمَ وَقَدْ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ، فَيَقُولُ عِيسَى أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ كَانَ مَتَاعٌ فِي وِعَاءٍ قَدْ خُتِمَ عَلَيْهِ، هَلْ كَانَ يُقْدَرُ عَلَى مَا فِي الْوِعَاءِ حَتَّى يُفَضَّ الْخَاتَمُ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ: لَا، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ "، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَيَأْتُونِي فَيَقُولُونَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، اشْفَعْ لَنَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَلِيَقْضِ بَيْنَنَا " قَالَ: " فَأَقُولُ: نَعَمْ، فَآتِي بَابَ الْجَنَّةِ، فَآخُذُ بِحَلْقَةِ الْبَابِ فَأَسْتَفْتِحُ، فَيُقَالُ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ فَأَقُولُ: مُحَمَّدُ فَيُفْتَحُ لِي فَأَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا، فَأَحْمَدُ رَبِّي بِمَحَامِدَ لَمْ يَحْمَدْهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلِي، وَلَا يَحْمَدُهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدِي، فَيَقُولُ: ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ، وَقُلْ يُسْمَعْ مِنْكَ، وَسَلْ تُعْطَهْ، وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ، فَيَقُولُ: أَيْ رَبِّ، أُمَّتِي أُمَّتِي، فَيُقَالُ: أَخْرِجْ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ شَعِيرَةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ "، قَالَ: " فَأُخْرِجُهُمْ ثُمَّ أَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا، فَأَحْمَدُهُ بِمَحَامِدَ لَمْ يَحْمَدْهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلِي، وَلَا يَحْمَدُهُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدِي، فَيُقَالُ لِي: ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ، وَسَلْ تُعْطَهْ، وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ، فَأَقُولُ: " أَيْ رَبِّ، أُمَّتِي أُمَّتِي، فَيُقَالُ: أَخْرِجْ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ بُرَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ "، قَالَ: " فَأُخْرِجُهُمْ "، قَالَ: " ثُمَّ أَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا، فَأَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَيُقَالُ: أَخْرِجْ (١) مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ، قَالَ: فَأُخْرِجُهُمْ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: On the Day of Resurrection, all the Muslims will gather together. This thought will be put into their hearts and they will say: If we take someone to intercede before our Lord, perhaps He will grant us relief from this place. So they will go to Adam (peace be upon him) and say: O Adam! You are the father of mankind, Allah created you with His own hand, made the angels prostrate to you, and taught you the names of all things. Therefore, intercede for us with our Lord so that He may deliver us from this place. Adam (peace be upon him) will reply: I am not worthy of this, and he will remember his mistake and feel shy before his Lord and say: Go to Nuh (peace be upon him), for he was the first messenger whom Allah sent to the people of the earth. So all the people will go to Nuh (peace be upon him) and say to him: Intercede for us with your Lord. He will reply: What you seek is not with me. Go to Ibrahim (peace be upon him), for Allah made him His close friend (Khalil). So all the people will go to Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and he will also say: What you seek is not with me, but go to Musa (peace be upon him), for Allah spoke to him directly and gave him the Torah. Musa (peace be upon him) will also excuse himself, saying: I killed a person unjustly, but go to Isa (peace be upon him), who was Allah’s servant, His messenger, His word, and a spirit from Him. But Isa (peace be upon him) will also excuse himself and say: Go to Muhammad (ﷺ), he will intercede for you, whose past and future shortcomings Allah has forgiven. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I will seek permission to present myself before my Lord, which will be granted to me. I will fall in prostration before my Lord, and Allah will let me remain in prostration as long as He wills. Then it will be said to me: O Muhammad (ﷺ)! Raise your head, whatever you say will be heard, whatever you ask will be granted, and whoever you intercede for, your intercession will be accepted. So I will raise my head and praise Allah with such praises as He will teach me, then I will intercede, and Allah will set a limit for me, and I will admit them into Paradise and return again. This will happen three times. The fourth time I will say: O Lord! Only those remain whom the Qur’an has kept back. So every person will be taken out of Hell who says La ilaha illallah and in whose heart there is even the weight of a barley grain of goodness. Then every person will be taken out of Hell who says La ilaha illallah and in whose heart there is even the weight of a wheat grain of goodness. And every person will be taken out of Hell who says La ilaha illallah and in whose heart there is even the weight of a mustard seed of goodness.
