حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، سَمِعَ أَنَسًا قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ "، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّمَا ذَاكَ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ؟ قَالَ: " سُبْحَانَ اللهِ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ؟ قَالَ: " سُبْحَانَ اللهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his blessed armpits would become visible.
