حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، أَخَذَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ بِيَدِي، فَانْطَلَقَ بِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَنَسًا غُلَامٌ كَيِّسٌ فَلْيَخْدُمْكَ. قَالَ: " فَخَدَمْتُهُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْحَضَرِ وَاللهِ مَا قَالَ لِي لِشَيْءٍ صَنَعْتُهُ: لِمَ صَنَعْتَ هَذَا هَكَذَا؟ وَلَا لِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَصْنَعْهُ: لِمَ لَمْ تَصْنَعْ هَذَا هَكَذَا؟ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) took my hand and brought me to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, Anas is an intelligent boy; let him serve you." Thus, I had the honor of serving the Prophet (ﷺ) during both journeys and at home. If I ever did any work, the Prophet (ﷺ) never said to me, "Why did you do this work in this way?" And if I did not do any work, he never said, "Why did you not do this work?"
