Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، وَيُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ - وَقَالَ مَالِكٌ الْمُنَادِيَ: - فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ يَقُولُ "، زَادَ مَالِكٌ: " الْمُؤَذِّنَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When you hear the call to prayer (Adhan), say the same words as the muezzin says.
