حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَوْ أَخِيهِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ، ، يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي قَدْ أُرِيتُ (١) لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا، وَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّ فِي ذِرَاعِي سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَكَرِهْتُهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَطَارَا، فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا هَذَيْنِ الْكَذَّابَيْنِ، صَاحِبَ الْيَمَنِ، وَصَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying from the pulpit: O people! I saw the Night of Qadr but then it was made to be forgotten by me. Also, I saw in a dream that two gold bangles were placed on my hands. They were very burdensome to me, so I blew on them and they disappeared. I interpreted this as referring to two great liars: the one from Yemen (Aswad Ansi) and the one from Yamamah (Musaylimah the Liar).
