حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَلِيطُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، ثُمَّ أَحَدِ بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ يُسْتَقَى لَكَ مِنْ بِئْرِ بُضَاعَةَ بِئْرِ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ، وَهِيَ بِئْرٌ يُطْرَحُ فِيهَا مَحَائِضُ النِّسَاءِ وَلَحْمُ الْكِلَابِ وَعُذَرُ النَّاسِ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Prophet (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), can we perform ablution with the water of the well of Buda'ah?" In fact, dirty clothes of women, other foul-smelling things, and the flesh of dogs were thrown into this well. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Water is pure; nothing can make it impure."
